This is our ZZ502 Long block. We had this original ZZ502 (2015 original purchase from GM) rebuilt for a high end car build that we decided to go a different route (LS3 instead). This is a fresh professional rebuild by Creason Racing Engines of Troy, MO. Engine comes exactly as pictured. Please check out the photos, including the copies of the engine rebuild receipts.

The Chevrolet Performance ZZ502 engine is designed for those who need the max, the 502ci Gen VI Chevrolet big-block with roller camshaft. The pistons, rods and crankshaft are the same as Gen V. This engine features a standard deck height block with four-bolt main bearing caps, a 4.00" stroke forged steel crankshaft and 4.47" diameter forged pistons. The compression ratio is a reasonable 9.6:1 with 110cc chamber aluminum heads. It has 4340 steel connection rods with 7/16 rod bolts. This engine includes block, crankshaft, pistons, damper, oil pump, oil pan, front cover and steel hydraulic roller camshaft with lifters!

INSTALLATION NOTES:
- Clutch linkage bosses are now drilled and tapped.
- The 502 engines now have a mechanical fuel pump boss!
- Use flywheel P/N 809-14096987 and 11" clutch assembly for manual transmission applications
- Designed for pre-1976 street vehicles or any off-road vehicle
- Not intended for marine applications
- For long blocks and partial engines with steel camshafts, a distributor with a melonized steel gear must be used or engine damage will occur. Distributor #809-93440806 is recommended.
